The Meal

There are no Indonesian restaurants in Buffalo so unless you have been to Indonesia, most likely these are new flavors for you. And if you have had Indonesian food, then you know just how special it is, home cooked flavors full of fresh herbs and spices and featuring mouthwatering dishes that mix savory, sweet, and spicy all together. Guests will enjoy a family style dinner of nasi tumpeng symbolizing gratitude and togetherness. Perfect for a Valentine’s Day meal! Nasi tumpeng is a traditional Indonesian ceremonial meal featuring a cone-shaped mound of rice surrounded by specially prepared dishes served family style.

We will be serving:

  • Ayam Bakar – Indonesian bbq grilled chicken marinated in sweet soy, garlic, and warm Indonesian spices: smoky, sticky, and savory.

  • RendangSapi– Fork-tender beef slow-braised for 5 hours in coconut milk, chilies, and many fragrant spices until rich, dark, and caramelized.

  • Tahu Telur Belado – Crispy tofu and egg topped with a delicious belado chili sauce: sweet heat, tangy bite, and total comfort.

  • Gado-Gado – A mix of blanched vegetables, tofu, and egg draped in creamy peanut sauce, finished with a bright squeeze of lime and a crunch of krupuk crackers.

  • Oseng-oseng Buncis: Crisp-tender green beans and golden tempeh tossed with garlic, chilies, and sweet soy until glossy, savory, and wildly addictive.

  • Bubur Ketan Hitam (dessert) – Silky black sticky rice pudding topped with luscious coconut cream.

  • Sambal (on the side) – A bold, spicy Indonesian chili sauce served on the side so you can add as much fiery kick as you dare.

  • Nasi Kuning – Fragrant turmeric coconut rice, warm and savory with subtle spices. The golden centerpiece of the meal!

Alcoholic and NA Drinks available for purchase with dinner!
